Finally! Finally! Finally!

I dunno what to say when Hadry told me that his parents agreed on what we had planned! Eventho his father quite disppointed coz hadry told him bout this good news too late/ too near to the date we proposed. But everybody ask to proceed with what we had planned. Thank God!

Now, i let Hadry and his family to decide for the merisik date....

June : its near to Ramadhan so, they only have this few weekends to decide and finally, they decide to come for merisik on 17.7.11... its about 3 weeks from now!

preparation has to begin...

Things need to grab :

1. Merisik Ring

most of the things are come from hadry's side coz their representative (sometimes include parents) will come to my house for the investigation. so, i just need to be in proper dress or maybe just baju kurung on that day.

A week after, Hadry ask me out to look for the ring!!!!!! wow, its my first time survey for my own ring... > we were heading to KLCC.

on that day...

Tomei open their promotion booth and theres a ring that we love and there is 1 left with my size... feel like its belong to me ha? nevermind... we ask the salesgirl to put aside n we will come back later after lunch but actually, we continue our survey to other shop... Habib Jewels...which also having promotion almost half price...

Normally people bought 'gelang rotan' kind of ring for merisik ring... simple and no diamonds of coz but Hadry was super excited to bought me something with diamonds.

After about an hour try and try almost all the merisik ring in the shop, we finally decide this one simple silver ring with 6 diamonds burried on top of it. Nice, i love it! n i think the price also reasonable + it got discount that day...

owh... i had a bad day since last saturday! flu! flu! very bad flu! today still not 100% recover but i have to go working since last friday dah EL... argghhh... flu make me feel very2 uncomfortable to do anything so actually, im suppose to take my MC today! un-productive day today...

nevermind... coz im feel quite hepi to update my blog today... huhu...

thats all 4 main things should be comform by now... there are about only 4 months left! its time to look for detailssssssssss.........

before be too excited, lets share some ideas about Malay wedding, i mean... our basic traditions process. For me, our wedding conveniently may be divided into three groups representing three stages.

First group activities: all of which precede the actual wedding ceremony, consist of the investigation (merisik), the engagement (bertunang)and the hantaran or wang belanja.

Second group : solemnisation day (akad nikah); the day we formally become husband and wife ... and the night time, some people, having their 'malam berinai' + simple makan-makan session for guest (the husband's close family).

Third group : activities consist of arriving in procession that call berarak by the married couple to the decorated dias (bersanding). in overall, it is call 'reception'. am i right?

Sometimes those activites are different in other parts of the country but still got their similarities.

so now... me and Hadry have to start with the merisik activity which involve our family. Seriously, its time for Hadry to talk to his parents about our wedding planning. Whatever they will say, he has to face it. No more time to be delay. he had promise me on Mac n now its already June!

oh... i had really reallllllllllly a hard time to think about who gonna be my designer for my wedding dress... pergghhh... sound like an artist! mcm bagus jer...

me myself actually not really good, i mean not tooooo up-to-date about fashion... m such an ordinary girl, i wear anything i feel comfortable... thats the reason why i still keep my blouses that i bought about 10 years past... OMG!(mean that i still can fix in that 'S' size).... :p

Hatta use to be my x-primary school mate + my aunty's neighbour... but yaa.. its a long time ago n i dont think he still can recognise me + im not that close to him last time! coz he sooooo comot n notti at school. i cant believe he'd grown up become a fashion designer! All the best to u...

ok, to make it short... actually i and Hadry had meet Hatta last 2 months kot... can't remember la... Its hard to get the time together to meet Hatta coz Hadry staying in Kuantan. Thank god, finally we did. We drive to Shah Alam Seksyen 7, where Hatta's boutique is located (behind Jackel's 4 storey building).

Dont forget to make an appoinment kay... call his PA (Amy's) number at HDC's blog... hey, luckily... Hatta did recognise me! huhu... sooo happy... hopefully, i can get best price from him...

This very friendly guy will design my baju nikah with veil and shoes + reception dress with veil and shoes + reception dress for Hadry's side also with veil and shoes... means i have : 3 dresses with veil and 3 shoes + 3 sets of baju for Hadry are only for RM12,000!!! that price, i consider as cheap ok! i thot 1 dress already cost us RM5k... huhu... but actually they are much2 more cheaper!

Without thinking more furthur, we juz agree on the price offer and we will come again for detail design after Hari Raya... since Hadry also want to take his leisure time to slim down a bit... ye la tuh!!! :p

oh, i juz cant wait to be a super star!!!

Reception Hall...

again... i will update u on my wedding preparation...

ok, i've done with my wedding planner, caterer and photography (i guess)... so, now! lets move on to another important thing which i think i shud put this to NO. 1 thingy in my "what to do" list...

Yes! it is Reception Hall... i'm quite particular in choosing types of hall coz the first thing i would look at is the surrounding of the wedding ceremony that i'd attended. Coz surrounding will create an ambiance and ambiance make your wedding theme become real...from my personal opinion.. :p

first thing u have to set in mind is what theme would it be for your wedding. if u ask me... till now, im still stuck but dont worry coz i believe everybody had attend more than 10 weddings at different halls right?

so, basically...for me, i would prefer hall with fully carpet and with acoustic panel on the wall. From that, i would look at the color of the carpet and the acoustic panel. Shud be natural color and not toooo bright... For example, the overall color of the hall is red than yor theme is blue and obviously that 2 colors didnt blend together so im afraid ur wedding pictures will full of color like circus. hahaha... am i too fussy?! hahha... i think everybody will agree with me...

Orite, now... we have to do some survey. Surely, my parents will suggest hall that is near to our house and i think non of the hall nearby is as per my 'dream' hall. The best hall that is quite near to my house is somewhere around Putrajaya. Bangi to Putrajaya is not that far aight? i think it shud be no problem for my guest to get there since Putrajaya is a known place.

There are so many halls in Putrajaya... lets take a look at the hall with fully carpet n acoustic panels... before that, just to let u know, all dewan in Putrajaya is under Perbadanan Putrajaya so please refer to them for booking. Here are the list and the price:

1. Dewan Seri Melati : RM 4,000++ with 380 capacity

2. Dewan Seri Siantan : RM 8,500++ with 1000 capacity

for Dewan Seri Siantan, i've given a choice to choose the whole dewan or juz renting half of it since its quite a large dewan.

3. Dewan Seri Seroja : RM 3,500++ with 250 capacity

4. Dewan Seri Endon : under Puspanita,

i heard the price is RM 10,000 ++

++ means u have to consider the price for the tables, chairs, PA system and etc. The price has been increased by the PPJ since last April. Double up ok! How cruel!!!

since i got no choice... i've decided to book for Dewan Siantan 1 (half of Seri Siantan)and the price is RM 4,500++ Let's take a look at the hall interior... (it can cater 500 guest in 1 time)...

View from side (when this hall open both side) as a normal practice, the bride n the groom will get into this hall during reception through that open door and walk in L shape red carpet to the dais...

the dais will be in between that 2 doors - have to organize the flow/movement of the caterer because that 2 doors are connect to the service kitchen. they will move in and out many times through this door during that 'day'...

in overall, i love this hall and i think my guests will be comfortable eating and chating on my wedding day. since my wedding are not 'makan serentak' so im not worry bout no of tables and chairs coz guest will keep coming and back. BUT....

there are 2 things that make me worry about this hall are :
1. it is at the second floor of bangunan Perbadanan Putrajaya. so, i & hadry have to go upstairs by using lift or escalator. Hopefully my long dress will not stuck in any of those 2 'machines'! OMG!

2. i hate when En Faizal (person incharge of the hall reservation) told me on that date... there will be another wedding ceremony at the first floor... no way! i have to share the VIP hall? again, no way! i have to think of other options... arrggghhhh... i also have to think how to guide guests to go upstairs. maybe i need a lot of poster or whatever! cost! :(

actually i got this info from my brother, Zayd... as i told u in my previous post, he's a photographer so he and his team bought 1 booth to promote their services...His team name - SPLENDIFEROUS PICTURES (PHOTOGRAPHER & VIDEOGRAPHER)!!

i just realise, everything i decide for my wedding are all at my own decision and "risk" (mean money)... so, everything that i decide, i must put a side amount of money that i have to pay later...in different account from my monthly salary of coz... :p

Thank god i still have ibu and ayah who volunteer to pay for the caterer...but i think its normal practice nowadays coz cost for caterer are very expensive depending on how many people u'll invite.

During this exhibit, ibu and ayah had decided to book Nurul Izzah Caterer... advice from Aunty Fitrina. we did taste their 'lauk' at their booth and i think its super duper sedap... + they use beras mati for the Nasi Minyak...

They also use clean and latest design of cultinary staf. Another thing that u dont have to worry is their staff who gonna serve your guests on that day. They are all will wearing Baju Melayu Hitam and they will look charming (i guess)... Nevermind, u can take a look at this link :

The cost is RM12.90 per head. yaaa... maybe u'll say its quite expensive but not after i list down other things include in this package :

RM12.90 per head so we booked for 1200 guests will come. Why 1200? because Nurul Izzah will give another 300 guests for free so all together become 1500 guests. hopefully its enough...

As per my last post, i told that i'd booked 'Pelamin Hati' as my wedding planner aight...?? but when i came back home, i tried to google their website to look at their previous job but.... i found out that their design are not my taste. i mean its not worth it with the price offered. i think i can get better design within the price...

OMG!why im so blind! why dont juz call Ari straight away coz his hp no is written at his blog. ok, now find out if he will be joining any wedding exhibit. Yes! yes! he will joining Pameran Kerja Kahwin at Kompleks Kraf, Jalan Conley for 10days starting 26th May - 6 June 2011... oh, i juz cant wait!

I went to met Ari on 27th May with my mom. That was Friday n we were working that day so we went straight away from office to the exhibit. Punya la excited... Unluckily, i didn't bring my camera!

Nevermind, the most important thing is, i had booked Ari as my wedding planner and i already paid him RM400 that day... hmmm, good looking guy but normal la... 'metro sexual' sangat! hahaa...

Basically, package that i chosed was Package B starting from RM8000+ exclude hantaran. He has 2 types of hantaran which cost RM150 and RM250 each. Depends on how many flowers need to be used.

RM250 for this of coz! awesome!

So, that package includes decoration for the dais during sanding and nikah + photography. since i dont want to include the photography, the price will be reduce. Dont worry, normally the prices are negotiable... :p

Wedding Exhibition...

Ok... for bride to be, like me... yg xde knowledge langsung ni... kena la rajin buat homework kan... so i start with :

* Bought wedding magazine (or any that related to it) as many as i can to look at the latest trend of wedding in term of their colors, theme, deco, dress etc... teruja habis! jadi bridezila la i...

Dah puas menatap all the magazines, i have to look for the real thing kan? so, i googled latest events/ promotions / exhibitions related to wedding that i can attend w or w/o Hadry... thats ok pun if Hadry xde... coz too early to decide thing togather. i booked thingy that i have to decide on my own. So, my family la kena teman...

Fyi, each Pameran Pengantin actually they have their own concept/theme and this time... the theme is Mystique Purple (Black + purple). Which booth really into this concept, they will be awarded as 'The Best Booth... One of the booth that i went to is the winner...

Arrgghh.. there are so many things to look at...such as invitation cards, dias, make up, photographer, wedding dress, goodies, antique cars, performances etc. oh, i cant decide straight away...

All in excluded photographer = RM78++.00... ok kot..

+ they only asked RM50 for booking...

Actually, my brother is a photographer(can be consider as professional) so, hopefully, he can get me the best (lowest) price for this coz i dont want to spend so much on it eventhough i demand too much coz i wanna have my pre wedding vid, save the date vid, pre wedding photo shoot etc... ahha... sorry zayd! i wanna them all! once in a life time!!!

actually i cant really remember when was the first time Hadry open his mouth talking bout 'kahwin' ni... so call very sensitive word... hahha... or maybe, i yg start tanya dulu? hahha...

as far as i can remember...

when we both celebrating our 28th birthday and realised that we r almost 30th... perghhh... how fast time flies! dah nak masuk 3 series dah! from there we start thinking of moving to the other 'world of life' - marriage...

its been so hard for Hadry to tell bout this to his parents since he never talk about personal and feeling or whatever related to their parents. then i said... maybe u can start by telling ur sibbling (im quite close with his younger sister, Haidar). Maybe she can help - tolong bagi hint...

he agreed n this process develop slowly... + supporting by frens around us.. thanx guyz!

early this year, we all start discuss in detail what to do, how to start and the best part... WHEN would the 'big day' be!

of coz n i believe... every couple will come to the peak of disagreement matters where we start to quarrel! n girls... i know, u start to cry kan?... normal la... AND...the discussion came to an end where we finally fix the date of our big day :
